3D Sculpting and Minecraft

Dec 11, 2025

Hiii! I finished my last final today, and I wanted to make a blog update. I usually feel like not much happens in my life but when trying to summarize everything that I want to talk about, I really need to evaluate the more and less important events. Semester is officially over and JUST this week my university's makerspace fixed registration to take their 3d printer training.

I started sculpting a doll from my blueprint that I showed in my last blog using Nomad. I really considered whether or not spending money on an app was “worth it” but I decided that it would be better in the long run. I watched a Teeny Tinkers Dolls video on sculpting a face in Nomad for reference and made my first attempt at a sculpt. first attempt at a sculpt on nomad   She looks funny... After sculpting this I immediately started over and sculpted this. second attempt at a sculpt on nomad   And she looks a lot better! But I didn't know if it matched the look I wanted. I prefer softer features that blend easily with each other. So the next day, again following the Teeny Tinkers Dolls video, I sculpted this. I'm very happy with her but I'm not sure if it's really my final sculpt. third attempt at a sculpt on nomad   I wanted to give her downturned eyes and south asian features in general, but I'm not sure how well I pulled it off. I gave her a larger hooked nose as well, but I don't think her eyelids came out how I wanted. But mannnn, eyelids are a bit of a pain. Anyways look at this kinda funny looking difference in the side profile of the second and third sculpt. side profile comparison   Oh, and I almost forgot the photo of the sculpt painted. She looks so cute. Many people give their face sculpts a name but I'm soooo bad at choosing names, she'll be unnamed for now. painted version of the third sculpt
Okay moving onto minecraft now.

I play minecraft sometimes. I play on bedrock on my iPad and I KNOW!! People highkey hate bedrock but honestly? I swear it's not that bad. But anyways, a while back I started up a new world and it's one of the few times I played in a world without my little sister. It kinda makes me realize how much I make my sister the miner and material getter while I do the building.

But anyways, I also play with keepInventory on because I... want to. I like a chill minecraft experience, not a “I want to die in real life everytime I die in game” experience!!

I spawned in a humongous spruce forest and decided to build this house on an island that actually was an old growth pine taiga biome (has a different tree shape than spruce trees). And usually I want to go straight to a cherry biome and bring pink to all my builds but watching Over the Garden Wall made me want to use a more fall looking color scheme and build a water mill! a screenshot of my house in minecraft
I also took the opportunity to breed at least 10 fox babies to build an army. They fight mobs, and you can even give them diamond swords and they do a ton of damage. They are super cute and probably are my best types of pets since they can actually walk around. I planted a ton of sweet berries so they can munch whenever they want. a screenshot with a ton of foxes laying around in minecraft a screenshot of my tiny farm with foxes around in minecraft
Lastly, I need to include a ton of photos to appreciate vibrant visuals. Both me and my partner freaked tf out when it dropped, because it still had the “minecraft feel” that most shaders don't have. The pixel highlights and shading is genius. a screenshot of a spider underwater in minecraft a screenshot sun reflection on water with nautilus in minecraft a screenshot lush cave in minecraft a screenshot foxes sleeping in minecraft
  Okay, that's all!

Gootbye
